The Netherlands, 29th May 2026: On 18th May 2026, a traditional groundbreaking ceremony was held in Kanoi at the commencement of the rejuvenation of the village pond, Unite4Water’s first community-centric water project. Guests of honor were Waterman Rajendra Singh and Bas Mohrmann (Unite4Water). The works got immediately started and it is expected they will be completed within a period of six weeks, just in time of the start of the 2026 monsoon rains.
As of today, a total amount of EUR 15.100 has been received from a wide range of contributors (including the promoters), leaving a shortage of EUR 4.900 for the target EUR 20.000 funding for Kanoi village pond. The 2026 Kanoi crowdfunding campaign is continuing its efforts and there is good hope and confidence the funding gap will be closed in coming weeks.
