The impact of your gift
One-time restoration costs for a water system such as Kanoi or Aalasar Pond, including community training, are between €15,000 and €25,000. Local communities contribute at least 25%, often through labour and the use of tractors.
This investment can keep the system working for decades and provide water to the whole community. For a village of around 800 households, it represents an investment of about €25 per household.
